KMFA programs are available for children ages 6*-18 years old (6* year olds must be turning 7 during the year the program runs). Registration typically opens a couple months before the start of each season and is facilitated through an online site, Powerup Sports.

 You will need to create an account on POWERUP SPORTS:

  • If you are a new player/family, click “Sign Up” 
  • New accounts will receive a confirmation email with a password; log in from the email and click “add/edit family member”; Enter your child’s information, confirming the birthdate is correct.
  • Follow the prompts and read/agree to the waivers.

Included at the time of registration are the applicable football memberships/insurance fees each player must purchase. These are one-time annual fees that will be collected for Football Canada and the BCPFA (BC Provincial Football Association) with the first program registered for in a given calendar year. For subsequent registrations in the same year, the fees will not apply. For further assistance, contact our Registrar.

 

Equipment deposit fees will also be collected in the form of a post-dated cheque. For tackle, the deposit is $500 and for Flag it is $100. These cheques are held in trust and upon return of all equipment in good repair, will be returned or destroyed.

Deregistration (not due to injury) will be considered upon request by emailing registrar.kmfa@gmail.com. Please review the timelines and framework for the specific football season a request is being submitted.
 
2024 Fall Tackle/Flackle
May 1 - July 15
Full refund minus 10% admin fee & BCPFA insurance/member fee charged at the time of registration.
 
July 15 - September 1:
Prorated refund of 50% total fees minus minus 10% admin fee & BCPFA insurance/member fee charged at the time of registration.
 
After September 1:
No refund option.
Winter Flag 2025 [January to March]
November 1 – January 10:
Full refund minus 10% admin fee & BCPFA insurance/member fee charged at the time of registration.
 
After January 10:
No refund option.
 
Spring Flag 2025 [April to June]
February 1 - March 30:
Full refund minus 10% admin fee & BCPFA insurance/member fee charged at the time of registration.
 
After March 31:
No refund option.
 
KMFA Refund Policy (due to injury)
KMFA understands that unexpected events can impact an athlete's ability to participate in a full football season. Our refund policy provides partial refunds for specific circumstances, such as sustaining an injury. A doctor's note will need to be provided.
 
For all approved refunds, KMFA charges a 10% admin fee. Insurance and BCPFA association fees are non-refundable. 
 
For the spring flag, the cost of the NFL jersey and shorts will be deducted from the refund as athletes keep these size-specific items.
 
For Tackle programs, refunds will not be issued until all KMFA equipment is returned. In the case of an injury that prevents participation, a prorated refund will be offered based on the number of weeks left in the season.
