Merry Christmas KMFA Families!

With the holidays upon us, another great year of exciting football is officially coming to a close. We hope you and your children had fun through the flag and tackle seasons and made fond memories with friends and team mates. KMFA continues to have strong and successful programs – If you were not in attendance at the AGM, here is a quick recap of the year’s highlights:

KMFA has proven to be a leader in player safety, as we transitioned all our athletes in both Winter and Spring Flag Football to play with the use of softshell helmets for added protection. This was evident at the Provincial tournament as we were one of a few clubs whose players were outfitted with these helmets.

And speaking of the Provincial Flag tournament, KMFA teams were among some of the top results (with a number of teams finishing among the Top 15 in their division):
U10 – Provincial Champions!
U14 – 2nd Place
U16 – 3rd Place
U19 – 2nd Place

Congratulations again to these players and coaches. We saw this momentum carry us into Tackle season, as KMFA entered 9 teams for play in the SIFC this Fall. Through all age divisions, 7 of those 9 teams earned playoff spots, with the Atom Grey and PeeWee Green teams playing for Provincial glory. Both teams clinched the Silver medal – way to go kids and coaches!
